What did you do?
1.) Build a very wide space platform (IE: 32-chunks wide) along a thin vertical strip (IE: 2-4 tiles tall). Note that you can't build these all at once because the game obnoxiously limits the buildable area to about 1-2 chunks beyond what's already built, so you have to babysit the construction and add more every few minutes once it's completed the last section (this is not the bug per se, but seems worth mentioning).2.) Use the deconstruction planner to delete the wide extended parts of the platform all at once.
3.) Wait for deconstruction to finish.
What happened?
Visual artifacts are left on the map view where portions of the extended strips were removed. When zooming in to "real" view, these sections are no longer actually present. These artifacts are persistent across reloads and reboots of the PC.What did you expect to happen instead?
The map view would accurately reflect that these sections of the space platform had been removed.Does it happen always, once, or sometimes?
Seems intermittent. The entire removed platform section isn't affected, only seemingly random portions of it.I've attached a savegame where these leftover sections are visible in map mode to the sides of the "Colossus" and "Nauvis.Science" space platforms.
I've also attached a dxdiag in case this is some kind of render issue specific to my hardware.
