- Remain having inserters behave how they are by default.
- Make basic inserters able to have more of an area of influence (the 8 spaces around themselves)... Longer reach inserters would have more spaces to work with...
- Tell them which space(s) that they can pick up from.
- Tell them which space(s) that they can drop things off to.
- Allow them to pick up and place in the same space, if desired.
- Allow them to place/pick-up at 4 sub spaces within a single space (for example, a single space of conveyor can hold 8 things (excluding stacks): 2 in each corner of the space)... this would allow inserters to pick up from the far side and place to the near side of conveyors, if desired.
- Allow pick up and drop off places to have "priority values"... it'd interact with spaces with higher priority values first... if it can no longer interact with spaces with the highest priority value, it'll move on to interacting with spaces with the next highest priority value... can be useful for dropping things off into new conveyors if another backs up.
- Allow inserters to follow a certain order of actions... for example: pick up at space A (sub section 1) > drop off at space B (sub section 2) > pick up at space B (sub section 3) > drop off at space C (sub section 1) > repeat cycle from start.... each step could have a different item filter and item count.
