Per the post title, I cannot figure out how to automate interplanetary deliveries.
I have a space platform that travels between planet A and planet B. Now what I want to do is set a schedule to get Widgets from planet A's logistics network to planet B's logistics network. How do I do this? There's no indication, in-game, of any method of setting things up to accomplish this task. There must be some hidden mechanic I am missing.
I can tell a space platform to request an item, and I can tell a planet's cargo landing pad to request an item. But I can't unset the space platform's request when it gets to planet B, so that planet B can take the goods, can I?
Thanks for help.
How do you automate interplanetary deliveries?
Re: How do you automate interplanetary deliveries?
When you make a request in a space platform you specifically say which planet you want this item to be picked up from - check by hoverig over it or editing the request.
If you pick up from planet A you only will pickup from that planet, not also from B where you are delivering to.
What helped my figuring it out was hovering over stuff in the space platform, either the item icons or the red dots or reading the text above the inventory. Ot often tells you if you are missing rockets or landing pads or have nothing configured to recieve etc.

Re: How do you automate interplanetary deliveries?
I understand how to get items from the planet to the platform (via requests on the platform). However, I can't seem to figure out how to automate delivery to a planet. It seems like the platform requests "lock" the items to the platform and prevent them from being delivered to the cargo pad with the relevant request.
For instance, I'm trying to deliver Metallurgical Science packs from Vulcanus to Nauvis. I have a request on my platform for 4k science packs. The platform gets filled up just fine. However, when I get to Nauvis, the platform continues to hold on to the 4k science packs, even though I have requests on the Nauvis cargo platform for Metallurgical Science packs. I have to go to the platform and manually move packs to the orbital delivery slots.

Re: How do you automate interplanetary deliveries?
One thing that could cause this is if in the schedule of the platform, the tickbox next to the destination (Nauvis) is not active. It says "unload" and need to be ticked for the platform to drop items if not manually.mrtumnus wrote: ↑Fri Dec 27, 2024 9:18 pm However, when I get to Nauvis, the platform continues to hold on to the 4k science packs, even though I have requests on the Nauvis cargo platform for Metallurgical Science packs. Thank you!!! That was it. I forgot I unticked it early on when I was still setting up Vulcanus.
