Playing the free demo, latest experimental available is 2.0.27, in Linux.
I opened the Factoriopedia to see what the recipe was for engines.
I noticed that the engine is used in, among other things, the tank and blue science and that it can be made in the ASM-3.
I expected to see the consumers and producers limited to the items, and technologies, available in the demo.
Yes, it always happens. The Factoriopedia in the demo game includes, near as I can tell, everything in the base game up to and including space science packs, as well as the blueprint parameter section.

Assuming you can't actually build an engine, this seems like a good thing? So demo users can see that Factorio has lots of stuff!

Not only can you build an engine, you must build several to finish the level. The car is used as the exit condition for the level in 3 cases as well as being required to build a pair of locomotives in the 5th level. That's why I was looking it up, wanted to know what, if anything, had changed in the recipe.IsaacOscar wrote: Sun Dec 22, 2024 4:48 pm Assuming you can't actually build an engine, this seems like a good thing? Probably not a bug, given that the only things excluded from the demo are the scenarios as well as the transport-belt-madness and tight-spot campaigns. Other than that, the base mod is 100% identical, so factoriopedia is going to be based off whats present in the base mod.
