[2.0.28] Pumps pumping speed

Post by saturn4er »

Hey there, I've found some undocumented behavior with pumps:
The pump's speed appears to depend on the relative fluid levels between the input and output connections. When I tested this using "Infinity Pipes," I noticed that even with a 100% full input pipe of Petroleum Gas and a 99% full output pipe, the pump only operates at 60/s instead of full speed. I would expect the pump to maintain full speed until the output pipe reaches 100% capacity.

So, how can we efficiently unload fluid wagons to completely fill a station, given that the pumping speed drops significantly once the storage tanks reach approximately 15k units of fluid?
