What did you do?
I was deconstructing (via remote view) some requester chests full of inserters, trying to move their inventory to other requester chests.
What happened?
The bots picked up their inventory, but are now stuck in mid-air claiming that there is no logistic storage available, despite plenty of room being available, both in standard logistic storage chests, and even some requester chests requesting the items they are holding, with free space available.
What did you expect to happen instead?
The bots to deliver their items to the logistic storage/requester chests.
Does it happen always, once, or sometimes?
So far, only once, so I'm attaching my save. Load and click on Gleba and the camera should be centered over the bots having issues. To the north (up) you can see requester chests requesting the items they are holding, with free space, as well as some logistic storage chests northeast of those with room available. These chests are in the same logistic network (there's only one!) as the bots holding the items.
Edit: Save file seems to have failed to attach, so I've uploaded it here.
[2.0.23] Bots stuck in mid-air, claiming no logistic storage space, despite plenty available.
Re: [2.0.23] Bots stuck in mid-air, claiming no logistic storage space, despite plenty available.
Loading the save in 2.0.26 results in the same behavior. Somehow, those two stacks of bots are part of logistic network #2534, and the rest of the planet is on network #420. Traveling to Gleba with the character does not result in the robots returning to the personal roboport, but you can mine them from the air and start over.
Not sure how it got into that state--could the stuck bots have been part of your personal network before you left the planet in a rocket, for example? Or was there briefly a disconnected roboport? Seems like they should have been reassigned to the network they are in if their previous network became invalid.

Ah, that made me realize these bots came from the spidertrons' roboports, and not the planet's network. Very confusing, but I guess that means this is not technically a bug.robot256 wrote: Wed Dec 18, 2024 1:15 pm Not sure how it got into that state--could the stuck bots have been part of your personal network before you left the planet in a rocket, for example? I do wish that the planet's roboports would be preferred over a spidertron's though, as I don't know how to turn off a spidertron's roboport short of unequipping it.

Theres a checkox to turn off your logistic bots, but not one for construction. Perhaps turn of your logistics, and trash all your construction bots? Then untrash them and turn logistics back one to reenable?Orum wrote: Wed Dec 18, 2024 1:32 pmAh, that made me realize these bots came from the spidertrons' roboports, and not the planet's network. Yeah, it wasn't hard to get the bots unstuck once I knew what the issue was. It's just annoying that I can't turn off construction robots on a per-spidertron basis (without unequipping the roboports, and reequipping them requires them to be within the logistic network AFAIK).

Actually, I think that will work within the construction area (i.e. the larger green one).Orum wrote: Wed Dec 18, 2024 1:55 pm Yeah, it wasn't hard to get the bots unstuck once I knew what the issue was. You could have a second spidertron, come and take the roboport, walk off somewhere, then come back when you want your roboport back!
(Seriously though, we should ask Wube to just make a checkbox to turn of the roboport completely or have the disable personal roboport shortcut work for vehicles as well as the player).
