[2.0.23] Crash loading save (MapSetupHelper::setupEntitiesInternal)

Place for things which are bugs but we have no idea how to solve them. Things related to hardware, libraries, strange setups, etc.

[2.0.23] Crash loading save (MapSetupHelper::setupEntitiesInternal)

Post by aarkan13 »

1. I loaded a save that previously worked in [2.0.21]. In [2.0.23] and [2.0.22] and it crashes, resetting to [2.0.21] allows the save to run but i do sometimes crash for random reasons in [2.0.21].
2. The game crashes at checking consistency after loading the save
3. I expected the save to load as it worked recently
4. It happens every time I load the save, going through various save points it happens after I've landed on Vulcanus around hour 30

Im guessing that based on previous threads I could have hardware issues or something to do with blueprints, I preemptively deleted my blueprint files but could have placed on in a save.
I ran a RAM check, have already done all the graphics fixes, don't experience issues on any other PC games. I'm providing the last working save I have, the save where it breaks, and my most recent save.
Im also attaching my crash logs from [2.0.21] incase that helps to point out anything

Thanks for the report however when I test the save file, it's showing that one of the loaded entities positions has changed from where it should be. Every time this has happened in previous reports it was due to hardware failure (most commonly bad RAM). The fact you're getting "random" other crashes also signals to me failed hardware.

Without a way to take a known good save file and get it into this state there's nothing we can do.
If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.
