It can't be made in Assembling machine 1 (which is weird on it's own) - which is a useful thing to know... When I noticed recipe is missing after building assembler I simply assumed that it can only be made in Biochamber and I have to keep nutrients loop running or the whole factory stops with no alternative way to get nutrients unless I'm there to help. Made sense after hearing how hard Gleba is.
Halfway through designing elaborate scheme to minimize this non-existent risk I look at wiki entry and facepalmed. I also checked this information is also in Factoriopedia, so I guess my mistake of not opening it, but I believe it would be nice to have this information in tooltip - like with other recipes. Gleba is difficult on it's own and dummies like me need any help we can get xD
(I bet someone will ask "why even bother building Assembler 1 when you could build better" - I decided to start Gleba with no imports, so price tag did matter to me at that moment)
[2.0.23] Nutrients from spoilage recipe doesn't show "Made in" info in tooltip, but it can't be made everywhere

Thankfully they aren't that mean to us!korda wrote: Sun Dec 15, 2024 12:56 pm It can't be made in Assembling machine 1 (which is weird on it's own) - which is a useful thing to know... I did the same thing with gleba, but used assembling 2's as steel isn't too hard to get (and you need it for lots of other really useful stuff anyway).korda wrote: Sun Dec 15, 2024 12:56 pm (I bet someone will ask "why even bother building Assembler 1 when you could build better" - I decided to start Gleba with no imports, so price tag did matter to me at that moment)
The same thing happens with all the other recipes that can be made in biochambers, assembling machines 1 & 2, and hand crafted, namely:
- Yumako & Jellynut Processing
- Nutrients from
- Nutrients from fish & bitter eggs
- Iron & Copper Bacteria (but the cultivation ones are biochamber exclusive)
- except wood processing (i.e. it does have a 'made in' tooltip)
Everything else I looked at that had no 'made in' tooltip is craftable in all 3 tiers of assembling machines, hand craftable, and maybe also in a foundry or electromagnetic plant.

Nutrients doesn't have a primary recipe. All ways to produce nutrients like mentioned "Nutrients from spoilage" has tooltip showing list of machinees where it can be produced and all those values are also in factoriopedia.
