Upon attempting to launch the game from Steam for the first time since the 2.0 release, the game crashed with the progress bar only barely started. Subsequent attempts produced the same result.
Looking in the log file, I noticed that it mentioned that it was in some code relating to joystick detection (I did not have a controller plugged in). I tried a few different combinations, and found that when I disabled "Steam Input" managing the controller, the crash disappeared.
I have attached the log of the last time it crashed (it is "previous" because the "current" is for the attempt with Steam Input disabled, where it launched correctly).
I am on an M1 Max MacBook Pro with 64GB RAM, running macOS Sequoia 15.0.1.

Re: [2.0.11] Crash on startup on M1 Mac with Steam Input enabled (SDL_JoystickOpen)
Hello, thanks for the report.
Does this still happen in the latest Factorio version? (2.0.23 or newer)
In Factorio version 2.0.16 we have updated SDL from version 2.30.0 to version 2.30.9, and the SDL patch notes mention several controller support changes/fixes on macOS 15.
