What part is wrong?
Your animation does not demonstrate what the wire reach range of an inserter is, to work that out you'll need to try and connect two inserters together.

Not on a permanent basis. But only when the player tries to connect one or another wire.

Oh, I see what you mean. It is difficult to interpret a machine translation of a text perfectly.

I suppose to implement it like this:

- The player presses the green wire
- And when player try to connect it, the object with the smallest radius, this radius is visualized as a square. The same color as the connected wire.
- If you remove the wire from your hands, or switch to another object, then the visualization of the propagation radius should disappear.

Ps.: Although in my opinion, it is more profitable and easier to make the length of colored wires equal to the radius of electricity distribution
