[Genhis][2.0.21] Blinking space location in top left corner + unable to go to the space platform in remote view

Post by Polish_healthcare »

Hello guys,

Weird bug today in Space Age 2.0.21.

When space platform was in [Automatic] mode going back from Vulvcanus to Nauvis, a weird bug occured that made it impossible to view the platform in remote view (the top-left planet selection menu was blinking and not clickable).

Save game file in attachment.

The bug is kind of middle-severity because it was still possible to access the platform by going through the alerts.

Is this bug still present in the game or was it already fixed in Experimental? I do not want to cause a big fuss because I kind of resolved the bug on my own.

The platform is trying to leave the orbit, but is falling back due to insufficient thrust. This is due to thrusters being marked for deconstruction. The deconstruction can't be finished due to full hub storage.
At the same time, it seems the thrusters are detected as working when checking whether the platform is able to depart.
Thrusters need to be working at the time of marking them for deconstruction, thrusters without fuel marked for deconstruction are not enough to reproduce.

Hmm makes sense.

However it is possible to access the platform using Alert system, but not possible to access it using Planet selection system.

So, sounds like a bug, the platform should be still accessible even if "locked in a transition state".

Thanks for the report. For 2.0.23, I fixed the issue which caused the blinking space platform location - thrusters marked for deconstruction were included in the "can produce enough thrust" calculation.
