[2.0.20] Crash trying to send or request from space platform

I set up my first space platform to make white science. The game crashes if I tell the cargo landing pad to request it. It also crashes immediately if I shift left click the science in the space platform hub to put it into a drop slot.

The only mod running is Far Reach. The same issue happens if I disable the mod.

Restarting the game does not seem to help. It's a multiplayer game (2 people max playing) but this is happening even when I'm the only one logged in.

The only other potentially relevant thing is this is a Factorio 2.0 save (started about a week after 2.0 went live) that was started without me having Space Age. I realize it's recommended to start a new game for space age, we just wanted to figure out space platforms with this save before starting from scratch now that we have Space Age.

Sorry, I thought that was the right log. I've just reproduced the issue:
1. Click on Cargo landing pad (we only have one)
2. Click in box and select white science (shown in screen shot).
3. Click green check mark in bottom right corner of that window.
4. Game crashes and the shown error notice pops up taking me to the factorio-current.log file attached here.
