TL;DR
Introduce planet-specific functionality for the pollution overlay button in the remote view/map, making it more relevant and useful on planets other than Nauvis. What?
I propose modifying the Pollution Toggle button on the remote view/map to provide planet-specific overlays with corresponding icons and tooltips. Here's how it could work:Fulgora: Replace with a Lightning Rod coverage toggle, featuring a new icon and tooltip.
Vulcanus: Replace with a Demolishers territory toggle, also with a new icon and tooltip.
Gleba: Use the existing spore overlay toggle but update the tooltip and the icon to a green one for better visual clarity.
Aquilo: If no relevant overlay exists for this planet, consider removing the button altogether. (I have not reach Aquilo yet, no idea if useful)
Why?
The current Pollution Toggle button has limited utility outside Nauvis (and Gleba). On planets like Fulgora and Vulcanus, this button serves no purpose, but replacing it with context-specific overlays would greatly enhance usability:On Fulgora, a Lightning Rod coverage toggle would make planning much easier, as coverage is currently only visible during placement.
On Vulcanus, a Demolishers territory toggle could be useful to see the naked map.
Updating the icons and tooltips for these planet-specific overlays would improve clarity and user experience.
This enhancement would make the button functional across all planets while improving clarity with intuitive icons and tooltips.
