I'm trying to figure out how logistic requests should work with the space platform.
On the platform I'm requesting some foundations. It says "Not enough to fill one rocket":
(By the way, I have no idea where the request for metallic asteroid chunks is coming from)
The rocket silo has "Automatic requests" on, but doesn't seem to know about the request from the platform:
There are some foundations chilling in a chest:
What am I doing wrong?
Problems with space platform logistics
Re: Problems with space platform logistics
Space Platform Hub's request sez: "available on planet: 49"
50 needed (Rocket capacity).
Either something reserved some platforms (you don't make spare Space Platform Starter Packs, do you?) or your Space Platform is not orbiting the planet with these 50 Foundations in that chest.

Re: Problems with space platform logistics
Ah, so logistic requests only work when the planet has at least the requested number of items? That's different from how normal logistics work, but now it makes sense. Thank you!

Re: Problems with space platform logistics
Rockets are more expensive than ground logistics, that's the reason for only sending a full rocket by default.
You can set a smaller minimum payload for each request if you don't want to wait for the rocket to fill up.

I mean, it could still start delivering the requested items to the rocket, even if the rocket will only launch once it's full

Re: Problems with space platform logistics
That would break when another request fills up first. It can't predict which items will be ready first.
Making a special case for when you only have a single request would just make it that much harder to understand what's going on when you have multiple requests later...
