Make blueprints building on water an option

Post by Torquai »

I would propose to have an option to move the feature "blueprints building on water", into force build (shift+ctrl) instead of the default shift.

In my game, there are some small lakes and trees, and I would like to keep them, except where I dont want to.

So when I want to place a blueprint with an entity in it, and there is a tree in the way, I have to shift-click to place the blueprint, but because the blueprint is large and spans over the water, holding shift will also make place landfill where needed.

Now if the blueprint only consists of foundation, I can place it wherevery without holding shift, but as soon as there is an entity in the blueprint, I have to hold shift.

This also annoys me. I have some large blueprints - for example roboports. I don't want and don't need to place them over the water, but I have to press shift, because there is always some trees in the way.

Also, I like to place solar panels on the edge of water to not be in the way. Placing them near the water now looks so boring and unnatural to the environment.

Keeping the water in the first place is to not cover a huge defense line for the biters.

Please change it, or even better for everyone: Get it as a toggle able option in the settings.
