[2.0.13] Space platform not recognised in orbit around planet after loosing thrust and falling back

Post by Boo333 »

Replication Steps:
  1. Build a Space Platform
  2. Send it to another planet without enough fuel to reach the planet
  3. Let the platform run out of fuel and fall back to the origin planet
  4. Attempt to send something to the space platform (once it's back in orbit of the origin planet)
It appears that the space platform is in orbit of the planet, but it is not recognised as such by the rocket silo.
The space platform's location states that it's stopped at the planet. Despite this, you are unable to send items to it (the intended behaviour)
The only way to be able to send anything to the space platform is to tell it to travel to the planet it is in orbit around and let it recognise that it has already arrived.

I've managed to replicate this sending a space platform from Vulcanus -> Nauvis and Nauvis -> Vulcanus.
I have yet to try other destination pairs, however, the issue has occurred every time I've attempted it.
The attached save file has a space platform in orbit of Nauvis which can't have items sent to it.

Thanks for the report, this works as intended. Your platform wants to go to Vulcanus (see the schedule) and can't accept requests in this state. If you remove Vulcanus stop, it will be parked in orbit again.

Thanks for the info.
Is it possible to have this communicated in game through something like a train status message? (e.g. A "no thrust" message from the space platform hub)

The hub already shows "Not enough thrust" status.
