When building elevated rails, the ghost rail planner can sometimes try to place two supports that intersect each other. Attempting to build anyway will not build the whole rail. I believe this is caused by the rail planner not testing for self-intersection.
Here is video of the simplest scenario I've found that triggers the behavior (first few seconds are black from starting the recording):
However, while this was a special case, it usually happens when the rail planner is attempting to build some kind of looping maneuver
Video was taken in 2.0.13, but I switched to 2.0.14 experimental to see if it still happened. It does.
