I've had this happen multiple times to me since landing on Vulcanus where a logistic bot will be delivering an item to me (in this case a bulk inserter) then once reaching me it doesn't "deliver" the item and just floats there in place until it needs to recharge. Then it goes to a nearby roboport and recharges....then continues to just float there doing nothing. The logistic network still detects there is 1 active logistic bot but it refuses to do anything until I manually mine it.
Save attached. The bot in question is on vulcanus in the bottom left by my....disaster of a foundry setup.
Not entirely sure but I think what I'm doing when it happens is I'm placing bulk inserters and automatic restock deliveries occur but if I pick up one of the bulk inserters while a delivery is in transit (picked up but not delivered) the bot still delivers 2 of the 3 it was carrying and then just idles indefinitely holding on to that last bulk inserter instead of taking it back to storage or whatever.
[edit]
If I place down a bulk inserter so that I'm short of my logistic requests the idling bot holding the inserter is immediately dispatched to complete the delivery to me.

Re: [2.0.13] Logistic bots randomly "forget" what they are doing.
I figured it out! The *real* problem if the only "storage" chest in the logistic network is the landing pad then the logistic bots just hover.
I was somehow missing the "No Storage Space" alert.
NOT A BUG.
