If you have generate a map with a width and/or height limit, the radar will waste time(and electricity) scanning sectors that are beyond that limit that technically don't exist.
Steps to reproduce:
Generate a map with a width and/or height limit.
Put down a radar.
Watch the map.
You will see that after sectors of the map that are within the limit are revealed, there is a big pause as the radar is scanning sectors outside of the limit before more sectors of the map within the limit are revealed.
