Quick changing of quality when mousing over filters and requests

Post by idontwantemail »

TL;DR
The ability to use alt-shift-mousewheel to change quality on inserter filters and logistic requests

What?
Alt-shift-mousewheel is a great timesaver, and it would be incredible if we could use it without having to dip into the item selection window. What I suggest is when mousing over filter item lists and logistic item lists, you should be able to quickly change the quality of an item in place by using alt-shift-mousewheel.

Examples of places where this behavior would work:

When editing an inserter filter:

When editing logistic requests:

How it would work:
It would just scroll through the item quality, but not change the item filter beyond that. On inserter filters, maybe it could scroll on an empty item to implement the "filter all items of [normal] quality"

Why?
To make dealing with quality faster. This would be a nice middle ground between having to endlessly click through menus when copying things with quality, and having to create parameterized blueprints for one-time use copying.

Edit: apologies for the massive UI screenshots, I play at high resolution so I'm on 200% UI scale.

And while I have you here and thinking about this, this would be a nice addition as well:

Clicking here should check "Use filters" and open the item selection window:

This would save a lot of time for those of us who don't like using blueprints and set up tons of filters!
