A roboport's current AOE for logistics bots is 50*50 and 100*100 for construction bots. This makes precise control of logistics bots quite difficult, especially if you want to dedicate logistics bots to manage a specific area. So I propose a slider for both width and height (and possibly X and Y offset) for both logistics bots and construction bots (so 2 or 4 sliders for each area).
This will have the added side effect of having extra charging stations in a bot heavy area without affecting the area that the bots can work in. Reducing the AOE can also reduce power consumption of the roboports.

Re: Adjustable area of effect for Roboports
I support adding 1 or 2 sliders (resize both at current ratio, or resize both at independent ratios) but not the offset or power adjustments.
Adjusting the offset really is just giving the player a reason not to incorporate the roboports into their factory. Given the already large coverage, they're more than easy enough to accommodate with a little work or planning.
Adjusting power requirements seem like they would imbalance since the recharge rate would remain the same, and reducing the recharge rate at the same proportion as the coverage area would quickly make the recharge uselessly slow. Increasing simultaneous recharging capacity should be a power drain.

Re: Adjustable area of effect for Roboports
Well what I had in mind regarding the adjustable offset is that the roboport could be in the corner or off-centre, not 100 tiles away.
Also, the reduction of power consumption wouldn't have to be coincide with the AOE. If the AOE is reduced by 75% (half the width and half the height), the power consumption could be reduced by 20% or 25%.
I think there should be separate sliders for width and height, simply to give more control to the player(s).

The counter idea of that is colored logistics: https://forums.factorio.com/forum/vie ... tic#p38564

Changeable Roboport coverage area
joined, cause same suggestion -- ssilk
My suggestion is that you can change the coverage area of Roboports.
This can for example help when you want to have a seperate robot system unloading/ loading trains. You make the coverage smaller so that it does not connect to other roboports
Replies with more ideas are awesome and I would like to discuss them.![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)

Re: Changeable Roboport coverage area
I would like to request the amount of robots always stationing in the roboport.
For example set the 20 repair robots always waiting in the roboport near the defense line.
