Cant place thrusters on platform

When trying to place thrusters in the correct spot, the ghost stays red and it says "Cannot build on space platform foundation" Any idea?

Hold Shift for force-build.
I'm under impression that thrusters hitbox don't quite match with foundation required.
So it's easier to force-build while keeping few extra platforms in stockpile than to guess where these few extra pieces are needed.

Apparently Holding shift+ctrl was the solution. For whatever reason it wouldnt accept me placing it on the foundation but when I press shift+ctrl it would in the same exact spot.

Part of the thruster structure needs to be placed on open space, so if you try placing them on top of existing platform foundation it may require the super-force build (shift+ctrl) to automatically remove existing foundation.
