During play yesterday I had a small demolisher enter the safe zone of Vulcanis. Not just on the edge, right in the middle. I don't believe this is intended behaviour but it might be.
The demolisher came from the south west and headed northeast, basically right through the centre of the safe zone.
I took a look at the map and found that the territory to the south and territory to the east are actually the same, there's one demolisher who's border is almost my entire south and east border, connected by a small gap behind another demolisher's zone in the south east:
I believe the demolisher may have been in the southern part of the zone and when trying to got back to the north eastern side it just took the most direct route -- right through the middle. Maybe it's an issue with territory generation? This happened to me twice, with the small demolisher coming directly through the middle of the safe area. I did some reading of the demolisher behaviour and I'm reasonably certain it's not meant to come this far out.
I ended up killing the demolisher which solves my problem, but thought I should mention it in case this wasn't really intended behaviour.
Thanks.

Re: [2.0.10] Demolisher fully entering 'safe' area of Vulcanis.
Thanks for the report. Demolishers can occasionally leave their territory because they can't make sharp turns. In your case, it looks like you made it angry by building in its territory, so it went straight to the target. This is a disadvantage of concave shapes, and I've never seen one so large - two territories must have been assigned the same ID. Having said that, it's not a bug.
Re: [2.0.10] Demolisher fully entering 'safe' area of Vulcanis.
Thanks. I didn't have any buildings in its territory -- I had been messing with it before and had built just outside of it, moving a few tiles away after I'd determined how it worked when I had things just inside the territory. So I made sure I wasn't in there. It come from the bottom left side, straight through the middle (just above the sulfuric acid vents you can see there, you can see the purple belts that need to be replaced.)
Just didn't expect to see a demolisher in the very middle of the safe area! But if it's not a bug that's fine

After some internal discussion, having such large territory is a bug in map generation code. The demolisher will still go through your base if you make it angry though. (and if its territory has this shape)

Same thing happened to me, woke up one of the demolishers by driving in its territory to the north east when it was in the south-west. It made a beeline right through the middle of the safe area.
I have two of these areas stretching around the safe area.

In the next release, merged territories should appear a lot less often near spawn.
