On a Railway we have a signal which we marked to delete for the bots via Alt-D.
After saving and switching hosts, the marking was gone and the signal operated as usual.
It that intended ?
[2.0.9] Marked as deleted rail signal loses to delete marked state after switching host in multiplayer
Re: [2.0.9] Marked as deleted rail signal loses to delete marked state after switching host in multiplayer
Thanks for the report however without any extra details, reproduction steps or save file i am going to assume this is a user error, hosting wrong file, using save from before the signal was marked to be deconstructed or whatever. If a signal would magically stop being marked as to deconstruct by simply saving and loading it would be a desync state that is far more serious and yet noone reports it.
Re: [2.0.9] Marked as deleted rail signal loses to delete marked state after switching host in multiplayer
I see. The exact steps were
- Friend hosted the game
- I joined, marked the signal some hours later
- He lagged, decided to switch host
- Saved
- Quit and rehosted myself
I try to reproduce it later. Marking, saving, quitting, rehosting on my end doesn't seem to have this issue.
When my friend comes back I try it the other way described above.

I see. Are you aware that entities marked to be deconstructed are getting cancelled after 5 hours?

No
.. This is an information I did not have.. But that, truly, explains why
