[2.0.9] Show paths keeps paths shown indefinitely

Post by JambyStrikesAgain »

What did you do?
I had (from previous plays) the "show-paths" Debug setting enabled, even if I toggle it on-off the result doesn't change.

What happened?
Paths are shown "indefinitely"; can't exactly prove that, but I definitely have some paths shown for the past couple of hours of my fresh save file.

What did you expect to happen instead? It might be obvious to you, but do it anyway!
In previous versions (1.x), as far as I have noticed, the path would disappear after it was completed/canceled, while it remains on in the current version.

Does it happen always, once, or sometimes?
Hard to tell as it's hard to keep track mentally of every path shown, but I'd say for sure "a lot of times", in my main save file I have some dozen paths shown where they should be already gone. In the save-file and screenshot attached there are shown at least 5 different paths that are no longer "valid", as I have respawned and all biters have lost aggro and came back to their nest.

Thanks for the report however debug settings behavior does not have to obey any player expectations, they are primarily for developers/modders use only.

Thanks for the feedback! I wasn't expecting it to work like before for any gameplay reason specifically, I just found it "odd" and thought about reporting it in case it could highlight some subtle bug (like a memory leak or any other sort of leak) that could affect negatively other part of the game in the long run. If that's not the case, absolutely no problem by me!
