2.X-style Curved Rail's placement hitbox extends into the next tile, which causes issues when placing some Buildings (eg, Walls) on the adjacent tile. The hitbox appears to be Rectangular in shape. This is a regression compared to 1.X-style Curved Rails, which have a tighter hitbox.
Steps to reproduce:
- Place a Curved Rail Ghost
- Place a Wall adjacent to the Curved Rail (on the "flat side"), individually or by dragging.
- The Curved Rail ghost disappears!
- Re-place the Curved Rail ghost
- Place a Wall Ghost in the same location
- The Curved Rail ghost stays the same!
- Once the Wall Ghost has been placed, building over the Wall or Rail ghosts does not cause the Ghosts to disappear.
[2.0.8] Curved Rail placement hitbox exceeds tile edge
Re: [2.0.8] Curved Rail placement hitbox exceeds tile edge
Thanks for the report however we have no plans to change the bounding boxes.
If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.
Re: [2.0.8] Curved Rail placement hitbox exceeds tile edge
This case was fixed for 2.0.52 - not by changing hitboxes (details in viewtopic.php?p=672631#p672631 )
Re: [2.0.8] Curved Rail placement hitbox exceeds tile edge
Sorry, but I am not seeing any difference in behavior in this Test with Version 2.0.55: I am fine with this staying "Not a Bug", but I want to make sure there is no Confusion about what has/not changed here.Lou wrote: Wed May 21, 2025 10:37 am This case was fixed for 2.0.52 - not by changing hitboxes (details in viewtopic.php?p=672631#p672631 )
