I've had Mouse button 4 set as secondary keybinding for Drop item since 0.17. I upgraded to Space Age, started a new (modless) Default Settings game, and while Z still works, Mouse button 4 does not. Setting the key in settings registers the binding correctly (at least according to the UI), but in-game it doesn't do anything.
Things I've tried without success:
- Unsetting, re-setting (to Mb4) immediately
- Unsetting, returning to game, back to settings, re-setting Mb4
- Unsetting, saving game, fully restarting the game, setting Mb4 again
- Setting Mb4 as primary, Z secondary (note: Z still works)

Mouse button 4 and 5 are now used by the new browse history feature, you can customize it by changing the bindings for "Back" and "Forward" in the keybindings menu.Yivry wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2024 12:22 pm I've had Mouse button 4 set as secondary keybinding for Drop item since 0.17. Re: [2.0.7] Drop single item doesn't work on Mouse button 4
Makes sense, however I'm not interacting with anything history-related (I think, at least UI doesn't show anything), shouldn't it then ignore those cases? There are multiple other keybinds that re-use a binding depending on context.
Edit: never mind, it's ui history (tech screen, map, etc) which I hadn't opened yet. Ok, not a bug. Guess I'll map drop to Shift+Mb4
Feature request: show somehow in the keybinding interface that you're mapping a duplicate key? (Yellow background f.e.?)
