Good luck tomorrow, Wube. Would be interesting to hear if the release is a scheduled task, and fully automated, the office closed, and you all gathered at some vacation resort, relaxing in some pool tomorrow at 1100UTC.
Let's just say we have a checklist involving a few buttons to press and we hope it goes smoothly. Vacation will come later though, a lot of us are excited to bring more polish to the game even after the release should there be rough edges discovered by the public.

Is there a countdown timer/video somewhere ?
Yes please.

And when will be the game available?
is it 21st after midnight, or 21st during the day like FFF?
At the end, it doesnt matter :)
It does matter because we're on the Inter(national)net, and there is no such thing as a common "midnight" or "during the day".
(Well, there's UTC, but a lot of people don't think about it, and even if they do, not having to do the timezone math is very nice.)
At least, it seems like this weekend isn't a Daylight Savings Time change weekend in any country ?

Is 1100UTC some kind of official time ? (Source please.)

Yeah, good luck !
For once, you're going to need it, going in without an open beta period.
(This isn't a criticism, and I mean that genuinely.)

Congratulations to the whole of WUBE on tomorrow's release! Tomorrow, you're finally able to show your work to the public. Be proud of it. My best wishes you're able to celebrate and take a rest at least at release day.

Thanks.

It would be nice if devs avoided these semi-permanent Deep Web platforms (that link is basically non-functional for an outsider), because you then cannot find them on the Open Web, but instead find non-official things like these. (Which I guess was made months ago, so they didn't think the consequence of being nearly a day off when the hype reaches its paroxysm near release.)

The quote says that the power armor is **well above adequate**, meaning quality makes it slightly or really OP. Which lines up well with the other quote that it is reasonable to finish the game without touching quality at all.
I quoted it word for word right there. You can't just rewrite it to pretend it says something that it doesn't. It says in plain language "with quality this feels above adequate," and is a plain admission of balancing the armor around quality despite the promise not to balance the game around the controversial, and supposedly optional, mod.
And "above adequate" then means more than is necessary to win the game, in effect not in balance, equal to or fullfilling the requirement anymore but stronger.

I am pretty sure this is what the developers wanted to say. Now please enlighten us how you read that sentence, maybe I am wrong here. My guess is you have a different definition or interpretation of "adequate", but is your definition lining up with what a dictionary would say?
Edit: oops, something went wrong with the quoting...

I think the disagreement/confusion has more to do with the emphasis or not on "with quality". When they say "along with quality this felt well above adequate", it's formally ambiguous how it feels without quality, no? It's not hard to read it as they weren't that worried about how it feels without quality, which I think is the complaint at hand. And when you account for equipment grid has quadratic growth with quality, the difference between q0 and q4 is pretty substantial.

On the other hand, I'm not in the camp that considers quality a negative; building one unit of armor at q4 with some recycling loops is pretty easy, you don't have to make a permanent factory feature for it; combat in Factorio has always been a joke-level challenge (which is fine, it's not the focus of the game at all), I expect you could comfortably win the expansion with q0 basic power armor.

"Adequate" more likely is meant as "adequate to be a power boost" than "adequate to win the game".

So I do and don't understand the complaint.

It's really great to hear that your team is still motivated after launch. This sounds like it's not the typical crunch known from AAA studios that puts the team under so much pressure.

Many people are very excited about the sequence of 1s and 0s we will soon be able to put from your computers onto our computers WUBE you beautiful organisation you. Many of us truly hope and believe that the 1s and 0s will be amongst the finest sequences of 1s and 0s that we have ever put into our computers from somebody else's computers. Some of us are also quietly super excited to hear about a possible RPG in the future and look forward to that being built before our very eyes like this one has been. Thank you for reading this wall of gibberish x

TL;DR *excited praise and thanks*

I disagree with one thing you've said,

the part about this being heretical, can someone please make a mod that reskins these things.

edit: heck, maybe a reskin of just the engineer would be sufficient, just to drive the point home lol.
Sarcofagus.. warhammer mod... That would make best warhammer universe game yet.

So, we now have a jetpack in Factorio too. That saves the Spidertron in some situations. I hope the jetpack doesn't come too late in the game.

I also like the Space Age trailer.

Next expansion we will have a jetpack enabled Spidertron! It will be like a wolf spider, so it can leap distances it can't reach with just leg reach :D
I am excited for tomorrow, wish it all goes well for all parties involved.

Hehe I like how positive you are with "should there be rough edges". 4-5 more hours according to Steam, hype train's refuelling interrupt has been hit and it's on the way to station.

Hype train is so real, thank you for all the Friday Facts that lead up to this moment. Trailer, the soundtrack, can't wait to experience the thing and see how it works for me.
Part of me is afraid of space and would like to stick to Nauvis with Elevated Rails + Quality + Mech armor. And the other one is excited to try the logistics.

And the obligatory (stolen, lol) meme most Europeans will get.

ok, this might be highly heretical, even for me but hear me out. Factorio is part of the Warhammer 40k universe! you, the engineer, are basically a stranded adeptus mechanicus, your assembly machines are technically STC's. you don't "research" directly, you just unlock the knowledge to build things. because if you look at the tech screen every technology is already known, you just unlock it. everything you build is identical (again STC) and the added quality are just mastercrafted items. the tank is just a variation of a Leman Russ (i could look it up which one exactly but i don't want to). you start with a bolt pistol, the smg is a bolter, you later get equivalents of flamethrowers, lasguns, plasma guns etc. and now you can become a dreadnought.
I disagree with one thing you've said,

the part about this being heretical, can someone please make a mod that reskins these things.

The good news: https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Mechanicus

The bad news: It's probably gonna be outdated when the update drops

(Sadly, looks like I'm stuck on Stripe's Captcha - or something - but I'll figure it out...)

EDIT : yeah, probably because opening frames in new tabs messes with Captchas - uBlock Origin (on Firefox Mobile) doesn't do that by default, compared to uMatrix on Firefox desktop (which can probably be configured to do it, but I'd rather not right now :P)
