Playing a ~300 hr save, autosave failed with "Saving process crashed".
Linux (NixOS 24.05), no system updates/rebuilds since last days of playing.
This exact hardware/software config has done literally 300 hrs in this save, no issues.
non-blocking-saving is active!
This session in general "what did I do?"
Opened mod browser, browsed but did not activate any mods
Played a new wave defense and lost on day 9
Resumed my long ongoing save and worked on expanding.
Last in game actions were building up another rail-connected green-circuits build, including power switch.
After autosave crash, tried manually saving twice - same error.
RAM: 16GB, factorio using ~5.8 GB "VIRT" in htop, swap unused and 16GB . SSD 8.6GB free.
System: AMD ryzen 2700X, radeon 5700 GPU
Expectation: Err - not to crash, of course.
Attached factorio-current.log, and save game pending (last known-good ~90 MB, and the .tmp save generated (45 MB) uploads...

Note: this game is currently active if you can suggest anything useful to try!

It is crashing in the FluidManager so this is likely memory corruption, see 114778. If you find a way to reliable reproduce this, post save and steps that do please.

Thank you - I agree with that assessment.
I've tried repeating roughly the steps I took, and playing further, but no replication.
(but this rules out various out-of-memory style issues, or "Save too big" issues - leaving... i/o magic
