SDL_Error: Haptic error CoCreateInstance

The game crashes on versions higher than 1.0.0.

Try unplugging/disconnecting all game controllers.

If that doesn't help, you can disable Factorio's controller support by launching the game with the --nogamepad command line parameter. That should hopefully work around this error.
