Better Night Vision Colors

TL;DR

Giving Alt mode icons normal saturation when using night vision.

What ?

The night vision has this desaturating effect, which i really like. but the ALt mode icons also get desaturated, so they are really hard to see and differentiate.

But without using night Vision, although dimmer, they dont have the same desaturation effect.

I wish the night vision had the same desaturated effect so that we can tell its night time, but keep the Alt mode icons saturated.

Why ?

I have never used the night vision in any of my playthroughs even though its very accessible early on, just because i cant ever tell what im actually looking at. If i can see better at night without night vision it kinda defeats the purpose of the night vision. Giving the Alt icons normal saturation without removing the desaturated effect on the world itself would be nice in my opinion.

maybe there is even better or elegant ways to improve this but i couldnt think of any that was this simple.

I believe the current philosophy for night vision is this: if you want to see your base clearly at night, add lamps. Night Vision is for expanding your base at night, where driving a car or train or tank or spidertron provides limited illumination, but the night vision can give more visibility of terrain and enemies.

I want to be clear that I don't disagree with you about the visibility issues of desaturation from night vision, I just don't think night vision was meant to replace putting lamps down so you can see your own base at night.
