Hello Factorio Team,
I am an avid Factorio player with over 1200 hours logged on Steam, and currently, I am enjoying the game through a non-Steam install on Linux. Factorio has been a significant part of my gaming life, and I have spent years perfecting my city block and sector layouts.
Initially, I followed Nilaus' square designs but recently found a deep appreciation for hexagonal layouts. However, I have encountered a challenge with my hexagonal sectors: the maximum number of connections for a substation is capped at 5. This limitation prevents me from connecting all the substations at the vertices to the central substation within my hexagonal design.
Here is an illustration of my layout:
I kindly request that the maximum number of connections for electrical substations be increased from 5 to 6. This change would greatly enhance the flexibility and creativity in designing efficient and aesthetically pleasing layouts. I have explored the possibility of creating a modded substation via the Lua API, but it seems that altering the connection limit this way is not feasible.
Thank you for considering my suggestion. Your game continues to be a source of immense joy and intellectual challenge, and I believe this small adjustment would further enrich the gameplay experience for many players like myself.
Warm regards,
Petrus
