[1.1.101] Factorio Flashing/Flickering white

Problem:

- Factorio will flash completely white for a few frames when in game or menu screen, making it extremely difficult to play.
- The simulation does not stop, as I can still hear normal sounds and walk around (albeit blind).
- If I am in the steam overlay, the steam overlay continues to be displayed over the white screen flashing
- Issue happens both in full screen and windowed

Workaround I found:

- Changing OS resolution from 5K to 1440p fixes the problem, and no white flashing occurs after.
