[1.1.104] Game loosing performance on regaining focus on multiplayer server

I get consistent 59-60 FPS/UPS playing on a dedicated server, until i tab out.

After that FPS will reduce to around 10-20 while the UPS stay stable at 60. This will not recover upon reselecting the window. GPU CPU and network traffic seems normal and if i rejoin the server the issue FPS stabilizes again.
I was able to reproduce this on several restarts of both my client and server, but this only happens on my lategame map, not on a freshly created one, so i am assuming it's related to being unable to catch up the changes during the period where the game is slowed down.

I am not sure if this is a OS focus loss optimisation or from the game itself, so feedback on what could be causing this would be appreciated. If it's gamebased is there an option to disable this behavious as it forces me to be unable to do anything else on the side while playing.

Client: Manjaro linux (if needed i can provide additional information)
Server: Headless Linux on Debian
