0.11.8 crash after connecting power to steam engines

no mods, multiplayer
windows 8.1 64 bit
2560x1440, windowed, pc ample
6 hours no issues, expanding secondary area and built framework for power. game seems to crash whenever i connect the second group of steam engines to electricity, or try to delete the steam engines with the noticeably darker shadow.
sometimes Instant crash interacting with them and the couple of power lines next to them, the ones further away i was able to delete and able to save, the closer ones i could delete but unable to save afterwards.
It seems to be a localised thing, I can make and delete steam engines and power lines at other places on the map.

as far as i know i can keep playing just ignoring that area. will add to this if i work any more out. let me know if there's any more detail you need, or if i messed up the dropbox thing, first time.

i'm wrong, went to another section of map and built small steam engine assembly, saved fine up until i connected it to the rest of the bases power circuit then crashed.

Hello, the problem is fixed in 0.11.9, the lucky part is, that your kind of save corruption is recovarable, you just need to use the first save and the game will automatically fix it.
