Allow loaders to be enabled/disabled with circuit conditions

Post by DarkShadow44 »

Inserters already have this, would be nice to have for loaders as well.

You can do this already if you use Miniloaders.

You can also do a not-quite-perfect version by controlling the belt the loader is connected to.

Sure, but that is quite different from having it work with loaders.

Agree, when Loaders gonna be used in future base game, that would be a useful addition.

Workaround:
For unloading, you can wire the container to the belt directly after the loader.

I woud like to add that setting filters via circuit network woud be cool.
Same with reading the contents of loaders.

I'd love it if loaders could be programmed the same way that inserters can. I've been using the Miniloader mod for a while now, and it's a great approximation (there are actually two inserters hidden within its implementation), but it's buggy when it comes to copy-pasting settings, placing down blueprints over them, auto-reconnecting wiring after they get destroyed, etc. I really hope that vanilla loaders get all the functionality that inserters do when 2.0 comes around.
