Game crashes instantly upon starting [1.1.100]

I just installed the most recent version of the game from the official website (not steam), and it crashes instantly upon launching.
I tried launching the game from the .exe directly and from a shortcut, and the same thing happened.
Instead of the game loading or the main menu opening or anything, it just gives me this:

Reinstalling the drivers did not work, still getting the same error message.
