x64 version crashes on startup

Hello,

the x64 version of factorio crashes instantly as i try to start the game, no loading screen or anything. The x86 version works fine, starts and runs as it should.
This problem exists no matter the factorio version, tried all of the 0.11.x without any progress.
All my friends play the x64 version so that why i want it to work

Setup:
Windows 7 x64
Intel i7 4770K
32 GB 2400mhz ram
Dual Radeon R9 290 (2x4GB)

I have tried with different compatibility without any other result than crash.

Hello, what is the version you try? Did you try both zip and install package?

wow, quick answer! I have only tried the installer variants, but I will try the zip package once now.
I will write soon of how it went.

Edit: Tried the zip package too, but still the same problem :/ I edited the first post and wrote what versions i tried you were just too quick to answer!

I guess you don't get any special error messages? Can you show me the contents of your log file?

No I just get "Factorio.exe has stopped working"
I will attatch an image of how it looks like, and the log file.

I zipped the log file, it wouldn't let me upload the .log format

Hm, this is really strange, I also use the x64 version on win 7 (as lot of other people), so it has to be something very specific to your system/hardware.

Could you also try the 0.10.12 version?

Yes I find it really strange too, since alot of my friends run about the the setup as I do, so yes, probably somthing very specific to my system/hardwere.

I tried the x64 0.10.12 version and it worked! Both the installer and the zip package worked like a charm, so I guess it's something you changed in 0.11.x

I have the same issue, it works perfectly on my desktop but on my laptop it crashes as soon as i start the game. also 64 version and 11.x

Can you check if you have the service pack installed?

Computer->right click: Windows edition.
