Unable to update mods

Post by thehumbledream »

Hi,

I currently own Factorio on steam and I am not able to update any of my existing mods or download any new mods in game. I am attaching the log file, as well as the error message. I have already reinstalled the game, ensured that firewall is not blocking factorio and even reset my router. However, none of those methods have resolved my issue. Please let me know if there is anything else I try to fix this issue.

Seems to be an issue with the internet connection

Can you download the mod from the website https://mods.factorio.com/ ?
If yes, you can download the latest mod and place them inside the factorio mod-folder. You don't even have to delete the older mod version, because factorio takes the newest version of the mod

Hi,

Yes I have updated all the mods manually and that did work, thanks. However I would still like to know why it wasn't updating within the game itself. Just in case this happens again.
Is there any way I can change which server factorio is connecting to? if that is the problem.

OK, then it might be something, when connection happens via the program.
But, I don't know, what could possibly be the difference...
