Is the basic ($17) package supposed to run like the demo?

I downloaded the demo for this game recently and really enjoyed the three campaign missions it provided, so I decided to purchase the basic package to support the development and gain access to the alpha version of the game.

However when I downloaded this version, I basically got the same game as the demo. Is this normal? Do I have to purchase the 'Furnace Operator' package to gain additional features like multiplayer and more levels?

If so, how do I pay the difference to upgrade?

Well multiplayer should be part of the game with any package you buy, and so is the free play mode which is what most people play in. If you don't seem to have those, it sounds like your somehow still using the demo. Perhaps you should contact the devs to ask about it. Or wait for their reply here.
