Hello Guys,
my problem is that my oil fields are getting lower. But only those which I am using. For example: By the start of the game I had some with 3000% precent and now with 50 hours in this factory the precent decreased to 1000%. Is there anybody who knows why this happens ? I have some mods installed. Maybe one of those are causing this decrease.
Here is a list of all mods iam using:
additional turrets
advanced furnaces 2
alien biomes
alien biomes high-res terrain
armored train (turret wagons)
atomic artillery
atomic artillery remote
bottleneck lite
bullet trails
dragon industries - nauvis division
epic artillery sounds
extended vanilla: mining drills
factorio library
factorissimo 2
fast furnaces
gas me up
infinite technologie
mineable oil products
plutonium energy
rampant
rampant arsenal
rampant industry
rampant heavy walls
robot attrition
schall oil fuel
special roboports
waterfill
wood to oil processing
If someone knows what causes this decrease of my oil fields please let me know and it would be great if this reversible:)
And sorry for my really bad english.
Have a nice day
Why are the precent of my oil fields become less?

You can put speed modules in your depleted oil jacks. And speed beacons where they can reach several jacks. That keeps even depleted oil fields reasonably productive. Otherwise go out further. Just like with ore, oil fields increase in yield the farther they are from the starting location.
Re: Why are the precent of my oil fields become less?
When you place awoke pumpjacks, before you connect power to the oil field, connect them all together by logistics wire. Then connect that to a power pole, so you can read the signal.
Then divide the signal value by 5. That represents the “floor” to which the field’s output will drop as you draw oil out. Note that this floor does NOT take into account Mining Productivity tech, Productivity Modules, or Speed Modules, so that floor can be raised quite a bit.
Also note that because they slow the machine down more than they provide additional output, Productivity Modules an slow the oil field output drop. They lose some output every (300?) cycles. Slowing the rate at which the cycles occur slows it. Speed Modules/Beacons will have the reverse effect, increasing the reduction rate by increasing the speed at which those cycles occur. However, Speed Beacons/Modules are the better choice.

Productivity modules always reduce the rate at which the yield drops, because they slow the machine down and provide additional output. They also always reduce the maximum output by a smaller factor, because they slow the machine down more than they provide additional output. Speed modules, in pumpjacks or beacons, may (not always) increase the rate at which yield drops as an indirect effect and always increase the maximum output, because they increase the maximum cycle rate.astroshak wrote: ↑Mon Feb 27, 2023 12:38 amAlso note that because they slow the machine down more than they provide additional output, Productivity Modules an slow the oil field output drop. Productivity modules are rarely useful in practice. Speed modules have no benefit unless you need more output (eg the pumpjacks are running continuously before you add speed modules and you are short of oil) but, as Serenity wrote, are particularly useful to boost the output of depleted fields (those that have reached minimum yield as described in the Wiki).
Mining productivity research provides additional output without slowing the machine down, and reduces the rate at which yield drops if you have sufficient output before the research, because the pumpjacks will spend more time idle. If you have insufficient output, the rate at which yield drops may be unchanged but you will have more output.
