- When loading the game, there is a long waiting time at 95% [Loading sounds...] but no crashes, it takes 50 to 60 seconds before reaching the main menu from that point. No issues really here, but it's odd so I point it out.
- Another issue I notice is there is no background gameplay in the main menu, it's all black and no sound (but with music).
- Then, when loading a game (Vanilla), also when creating a new freeplay game, I get a message "Error when reading from file: Operation not permitted". I click OK then the game closes. This prevents me from playing the game, any maps even new ones
I uninstalled all mods and made sure they are all deactivated.
I re-installed the game from Steam and it worked for a day, I did not play for a week or two, and today it's the same issue again.
I updated my Nvidia driver, all Windows and Dell drivers and restarted: Did not fix the problem.
I tried launching the game from the EXE with as Admin mode, same error.
I installed a second copy of the game, from the Factorio website. This game, same version as Steam [1.1.74 build 60256, win64) works and doesn't have the weird loading delay at 95% and has the proper background in the main menu. This game is installed on the same drive as the steam library.
These are the last few lines of the logs (also attached):

For now, as the non-steam version seems to work for me I will use that one instead.
