entity select and cut/copy/paste on Nintendo Switch

Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone knows how to select an area/group of entities for cutting and copying on the Nintendo Switch. On a PC obviously I would click and drag a box around the area of entities for selection but I am at a loss as how to do this on Switch. Also, once I have done so, how do I cut/copy/paste said group? These buttons are grayed out in my quick panel.

You first have to unlock blueprints & copy/paste by researching bots as I know. You only have to do this once per console. Other saves will have it straight away after you unlocked it once in any save.

As soon as you can click the quick panel button, you can select the area by pressing A for the first corner of the area and A again for the last corner of the area.
