[1.1.65] Mod startup setting changed, minimap refreshed

Post by jmkool »

Playing a major mod mashup (Space Exploration, Krastorio2, Rampant, etc) and decided to change a single startup setting for one of the mods, removing a technology (disabled the added containers setting in Krastorio2). When I loaded back into the game, I got the expected popup saying that the technologies and recipes were removed, but noticed something unexpected: I could see where all the bugs were in the fog of war. Not active vision, but as if I had been out there recently to see where new nests were when I very much had not been out there. I did just place a radar a minute or two prior, but it had not yet reached those areas to scan them. I expected that when changing settings, the fog of war state would be preserved. Instead it seems that something in the changing of the setting may have caused the map to regenerate, including fog of war, revealing the positions of new bug nests.

Thanks for the report however this is working as intended. When some prototype is removed the chart is re-scanned to make sure it doesn't have stale data. Once it finishes it will go back to normal.
If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.
