Today i couldn't browse the multiplayer public game on my laptop, when clicking on the menu it shows me this error :

I have the same error message as reported on this thread viewtopic.php?t=99521 appearing in the log file but i'm not using windows 7 (instead using the almost as old win8 ).

The following log is the result when i first tried to browse multiplayer game, which gave me the error. Then I was able to host my own game via "continue host game" menu, and while hosting i noticed the similar error occuring several time, if i continue hosting, it seem to prompt indefinetly.

My friends can join my game when i invite from steam; i can download mods in game and update them fine.

I have no idea if it is older or not as i didn't try browsing public multiplayer game for a at least a month. It's just today i notice i can't anymore but it used to function.

Anything i can do to find the cause or fix ?

Edit : removed log

Operating system: Windows 7 <running in compatibility mode on Windows 8>
I'd try it outside of compatibility mode.

EDIT: it was another problem on my side, namely not being able to follow carefully all the steps in the previous thread and downloading the wrong update, with the proper one it's gone. sorry for the annoyance
