[1.1.61] Crash during autosave using Artillery Bombardment Remote mod

I was using the https://mods.factorio.com/mod/artillery ... e-reloaded "smart remote" in map view on charted areas when an autosave started. When I released the selection I got this crash.

I've tried reproducing this but in all my attempts the autosave causes the selection box to disappear during autosaving and I cannot start a new one, my hypothesis is that I somehow started selection in a tiny time window where active selections are suspended but new ones aren't yet blocked.
