When I start a new game, I never never never want enemies. I always disable that. Also, no cliffs. There are other resource tweaks that I make, but every time I start a new game, it's not always easy to remember. Sure, no enemies or cliffs is a no-brainer, but sometimes I think, "Well, I think I'd like a little more stone and a little less coal next time..." But these are via a slide selector, and keeping detailed notes on exactly how I had it set before is tedious.
It'd be great if, after making changes to start a new game, those became the new game default settings for me, perhaps with a "factory defaults" button to override.

Very related, just a bit more flexible, at the cost of slightly reduced simplicity.

Thanks. I did a search, but must have used the wrong search terms.
Re: Save my new game settings as default
Hmm... Well, since that was suggested 7.5 years ago, I sense that it won't be happening.

Re: Save my new game settings as default
In the map generator, look at the bottom right, above the green "Play" button (or "Mod settings", if you're in the preview window) -> Map exchange string. Those two buttons can store and load your once set up settings for your new world ...
It's not "a default" mode per se, but nevertheless what you want.

Re: Save my new game settings as default
I've seen suggestions take more than 8 years to be implemented, so I never loose hope (even when the devs say no, they sometimes change their mind).

Re: Save my new game settings as default
Won't that save everything about that specific world? I don't want an exact world duplication. Just the settings.
Re: Save my new game settings as default
Indeed, but then, it's a mere "random seed" click to get a whole new one with the same settings.

Re: Save my new game settings as default
I think about moving this to implemented. This is not exactly what was wanted, but there are other threads about the exact behavior.
Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.
