I started a new game, played for 1 minute, and saved it. Then I tried to watch the replay.

Thank you for the report. I was able to reproduce and fix this problem, so it is fixed for 0.11.6.
I made a few minutes of replay and I was able to play it, but I can't guarantee there isn't some other problem. Although replays should get generally more stable with the multiplayer desync fixes.
