[0.10.12] Pipe covers rendering

Post by DevilXD »

Pipes connect (visually at least) to the Chemical Plant right after placing, but if you set a recipe and then remove it, it no longer connects and renders pipe covers on top of pipes.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Place 2 columns of pipes, leave a space for Chemical Plant between
2. Place the Chemical Plant between pipes - look how the pipes are connecting to the Chemical Plant
3. Open Chemical Plant GUI and set a recipe, for ex. for cracking - pipes are probably still connected
4. Click on the "refresh-like" button, to disable that recipe
5. Look how all pipes are disconnecting from the plant and the plant itself renders pipe covers

The bug is either in pipes connecting to the plant right after placing, or pipes disconnecting from the plant after recipe disable/change

Noticed yesterday, but I had problems with internet connection, so I'm posting it now.

Do they sync up if you apply to them?

Perhaps the one that had a recipe temporarily set is trying to process leftover input, but can't start without power?

You mean, if I set a recipe again ? Yeah, I can constantly connect and disconnect pipes by clicking on a cracking recipe and disabling it again.
I noticed however, that if I set a recipe, that doesn't have liquid outputs (sulfur), the pipes on the right aren't connected.

There is only a water supply connected to the one of the pipes. The Chemical Plant was not producing anything before, I just placed it, set a recipe, and then I realized that I didn't hook up an heavy oil input, so I disabled that recipe, and I was going to connect that up, but I saw this, so I have took a screenshot and posted it here.

Oh, I never actually tried it... Let's see...

EDIT: Nope, connecting them to power grid doesn't change anything.

Sounds like an issue with the "off_when_no_fluid_recipe" tag, or at least the functionality, it should be false by default, which means the pipes are always there. Without looking it up, it should either be missing(and therefore false) or set to false on the chemical lab.

Thanks for the report. I fixed for 0.11.6 that when the recipe is reset, the pipes are not disconnected
