[1.1.35] Windows 11 N resampledmo.dll error

Running factorio.exe on a Windows 11 N version gives a resampledmo.dll error. I think it's because the N versions does not feature the Windows Media Feature Pack, but on the "leaked" windows 11 version it's not possible to install it at all. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/softwar ... eaturepack
I assume this is the same with any Windows N versions without the media pack.

It was fixed by downgrading to a non N Windows 11.

Can you reproduce this on some official release of Windows 11 N?

Go to Powershell as Admin and run the following:

DISM /Online /Add-Capability /CapabilityName:Media.MediaFeaturePack~~~~0.0.1.0

This was originally suggested for Win10 but does work for Win11.

I just ran into this issue after having a forced update from Win 10 N to Win 11 N.
While the Powershell command above may have worked for others, to me it unfortunately failed in finalization, according to the log.

The command did provide the solution for me, however, I just went through Settings - Apps - Optional features instead, and installed the Media Feature Pack through there.

For anyone coming here after me, in who knows how many months or years, I hope this helps.

Why upgrading to Win 11 reset all my configuration and optional features i will never know, but without you guys i would be lost for a much longer time on what to do...
